Amical Japonais de la Nouvelle-Calédonie (Japan–NC Friendship Association)
Many of the second and third generation of Japanese emigrants are the members of this association. They celebrated anniversary of Japanese emigrants in NC, associate the Japanese culture festival organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, etc. Unfortunately nobody understand Japanese but they are interesting in the history of Japanese emigrants and very helpful for the people who are looking for their family roots.

Association des descendants d’Okinawa
Started in 2007, organized by Japanese descendants from Okinawa in north area in NC. They are preparing to participate in “Worldwide Uchinanchu Festival” in 2011. Collaborate with Association Okinawa Nouvelle-Calédonie and Amical Japonais.

Support the people from New Caledonia who participates in “Worldwide Uchinanchu Festival” and “Junior Study Tour” organied by Okinawa prefecture. Association has already organised some trips for New Caledonia and also publishes their own journal.

Tsuruoka– La Foa Friendship Association
Tsuruoka city (Yamagata prefecture) pledge as a sister city with La Foa city in New Caledonia. They practice the student exchange programme every summer.
